Students from several area school districts worked with local manufacturers to complete practical projects that would not only help the students to gain valuable skills but benefit area communities as well.
The Manufacturing Business Alliance of the Dodge County Region hosted an event to recognize high school technical education Thursday at Beaver Dam Area Chamber of Commerce, 127 S. Spring St.
Students from Columbus, Dodgeland, Horicon and Mayville high schools participated. While most decided to make grills, Mayville decided to make bike racks to help the county-wide “Blue Zones” health improvement initiative.
